The community of Kensington, with a population of approximately 5,000, is an unincorporated area in the extreme southwest corner of Contra Costa County. It lies between Berkeley on the south and El Cerrito on the north and west. Kensington is an exceptional place, and its residents consider themselves fortunate to live here.
